How Screen Printing Works
There are three elements to Screen Printing: The screen which defines the image, the ink, and the squeegee. The screen is a woven mesh stretched tightly over a wooden or metal frame. A stencil is then produced on the screen, creating an open area of mesh that allows ink to be transfered onto the fabric in form of the image.
Screen Printing Ink is applied to the garment by placing the screen on top of the garment. The Ink is then applied to the screen and forced through the stencil with pressure from the squeegee.
Once all the colours have been printed, the garment will be placed on a conveyor belt which carries the garment through a dryer which then cures the garment.
